Clown 3: Rhythms and Canevas Work – Francine Côté Method
Canvas and rhythm work allows you to deepen all the concepts learned during the Clown 1 and Clown 2 workshops by putting them into practice in a context of creation and improvisation. The Clown 3 workshop offers participants to enter into a process of simplifying the scenario and specifying the technique of physical play: emotion-movement-text. It also offers a sneak peak of coaching work in a clown duo.
Note: The participant must plan off-workshop work sessions with their partner assigned to them by the teacher.
Other Workshops
“Clown art is not a series of gags. The gag is just the punctuation at the end of a comic sentence. Rather, it is the sentence itself that is comical and contains the force of the laughter. ” -James Keylon
The Four Classic Duos, created and supported by Pedro Fabião, will be taught by Jean Saucier.
“In clown art, the real generosity of the actor is to offer the game to his partner when he is experiencing success.” - Francine Côté
