More About Jean Saucier

With 43 years of experience, Jean Saucier is reviving the Clown and Comedy School. He has been performing since the age of 11. A graduate of the National Circus School in 1986, he began his professional career with Cirque du Soleil at the age of 18 in 1985. Jean has passionately studied the art of clowning and circus with different teachers since 1978. Jean creates his own clown shows that he tours around the world. He runs his own corporate circus agency for over a decade in Montreal. In 2021, Jean’s dedication to the art of clowning led him to revive the Clown and Comedy School, created by Francine Côté and active from 2002 to 2018. Currently, Francine Côté is training Jean in her methodology for teaching theatrical clowning. Jean is the new director of the Clown and Comedy School and, with his team of professional artists, he will be there to support all those interested in the art of clowning so that this noble profession continues its evolution.

Initiation to Clown is for anyone who has an interest in the art of clown and who wants to be introduced to Francine Côté’s method, but who has little to no training or professional experience in theatre, circus or dance.
