Slapstick
Slapstick is aimed at artists in good physical shape wishing to discover modern slapstick which is a physical humor taking place in a comic conflicting context.
Slapstick Class
It offers participants to learn the basic techniques of slapstick, such as: slaps, falls, collisions, accidents and assaults.
The different figures that will be taught come from classic structures inspired by silent cinema, modern theater and clown. Participants will learn to perform them with the right technique, the right timing, and most importantly, safely and playfully. Each session begins with a warm up and ends with sequences composed of the movements of the day.

Étienne Bordeleau began his career in the performing arts in 2007.
In 2015, he continued his professional development in Montreal at Francine Côté's School of Clown and Comedy.
For Étienne, the art of the circus is a vehicle for learning towards achieving a complete balance between bodily control and psychological freedom.
Other Workshops
“In clown art, the artist discovers his own sense of humor by developing different structures of comedy. This translates on stage through the gags, the comic situations and/or the dynamics of the relationships he has with his playing partners.” - James Keylon and Francine Cote
“In clown art, the real generosity of the actor is to offer the game to his partner when he is experiencing success.” - Francine Côté
This workshop gives participants the opportunity to start learning about Commedia dell'arte, a theatrical art of Italian origin that, according to many scholars, initiated what we now call professional theatre.
