Commedia dell’arte Weekend
This workshop gives participants the opportunity to start learning about Commedia dell'arte, a theatrical art of Italian origin that, according to many scholars, initiated what we now call professional theatre.
Commedia dell’arte Weekend Class
The aim is to introduce the fixed types of the Commedia dell’arte
February 27–28, 2027
10 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Price: $225
The students will also explore their different physicality, their movements, the use of the mask and, through the use of improvisations, their relationships on stage. Through work on the Commedia dell’arte we will rediscover the basics of theatre: i.e. combining movement, voice and listening on stage (both to one’s scene partner and to the audience).
Other Workshops
In therapeutic and health care clowning, the art of clowning is adapted to the specific conditions and needs of individuals in hospital, rehabilitation, palliative or hospice care.
"You don't create your clown... you just let him come. Then, you accept him with affection and share him with others. A work of simplicity, sincerity, vulnerability and joy of play." -Francine Côté
